How a video is made
- Create a project: the listing address, your agent client, the format and the length (about 30 or 60 seconds).
- Upload the photos and the floor plan, and tag each photo with what it shows.
- Put the rooms in tour order, then create the video.
- Review the draft. Re-run anything you don't like, then approve it.
- Deliver. The final videos (landscape 16:9, vertical 9:16 and an unbranded cut for listing services) go to your white-label share page and are ready to download.
The house stays as photographed: the camera moves, and nothing is added to or removed from the property. Every video is checked against your photos before you see it, and nothing reaches your client until you approve it.
Uploading photos
- Upload 8 to 40 photos of the listing. Full-resolution originals work best: each photo needs a long edge of at least 1600 pixels. Near-duplicate photos are dropped automatically.
- Tag each photo with what it shows. A photo checklist tells you which shots a smooth tour needs and flags what's missing:
- the exterior approach, from the street or driveway
- the front door from outside
- the entry, just inside the door
- each room, shot from its doorway
- the connecting hallways
- the backyard
- Missing shots don't stop you, but the video has less to go on for those parts. Mark "No backyard" or "No hallways" if the home doesn't have them.
- Photos with people in them, and mirrors, are harder to animate faithfully. Leave them out where you can.
- Only upload photos you have the rights to (see Photo rights).
The floor plan
The tour is planned from how the rooms connect, so realfly asks for the listing's floor plan. Upload it as a PDF, JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 25 MB. Agents can usually get it from the listing or the photographer.
No floor plan? You can tick "I don't have a floor plan" and carry on. The app warns you first, because without one the tour has to guess how the rooms join up. You can add or replace the floor plan on the tour-order screen before you create the video.
Putting rooms in order
On the tour-order screen, each room is a card with its photos. Drag the cards, or use the arrows, into the order the tour should follow: outside, in through the front door, through the rooms, then out to the yard. Use the floor plan beside the list as your guide. If a photo is in the wrong room, change its tag. Save the order, then press Create video.
Reviewing and approving
When the draft is ready, the project page shows the video next to the photos it was made from. Watch the whole thing. Check that the rooms, windows, fixtures and views match the photos.
When you're happy, press Approve. Approving locks the draft, renders the final versions and uses the credit. You're the last check before your client sees the video, so only approve a video that fairly shows the property.
Re-runs and failed videos
- Each video includes 6 free re-runs before you approve it. Find the part you don't like and press Re-run this shot; we make it again and rebuild the draft. Re-runs never use credits.
- If a video still can't pass our accuracy checks after its re-runs, it isn't delivered and its credit comes back to your balance automatically. See the Refund Policy.
The AI disclosure label
- Every video carries an on-screen label by default, saying it was AI-animated from real listing photos and that the camera movement is simulated.
- You can switch the label off on the project page: off for branded videos only, or off everywhere including the unbranded listing-service cuts. To switch it off you tick a statement that you accept responsibility for the disclosure rules in your market, and the change is recorded.
- California (AB 723) and Wisconsin listings, and the unbranded cuts, show a stronger warning and need a second tick. We strongly advise keeping the label on for these.
- The setting locks once the final render starts.
- California's AB 723 also requires access to the original photos. Every video's share page links to an "original, unaltered photos" page you can use for this.
White-label delivery
Your clients never see realfly. Set up your brand kit (business name, logo, colours, name and phone) under Brand kit in the app. On every plan, videos carry no realfly marks, and share pages use your brand. Videos show your name and phone; on Pro and Agency your logo appears on the video too.
Credits
- 1 credit makes a video of about 30 seconds. A 60-second video uses 2.
- A credit is only used when a video is delivered.
- Unused credits roll over while your subscription is active, for up to 12 months from when they were issued. The oldest are used first.
- Need more? Top-ups cost US$15 per credit on any active plan.
Plans and prices are on the pricing page.
The $1 trial
$1 today, then US$149/month from day 7. Cancel or switch plans anytime before then.
The trial is 7 days of Pro with 1 credit, for one 30-second video with no watermark. We email you 3 days before it ends, with one-click links to cancel or switch. If you cancel or switch, you keep the trial credit. One trial per account and per card.
Cancelling
- During the trial: go to Billing in the app and press Cancel trial. Nothing more is charged.
- On a paid plan: go to Billing and choose Manage billing to cancel or switch plans. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- When a subscription ends, its remaining credits end too, so use them first. Subscriptions can't be paused; you can subscribe again any time.
Photo rights
You must own the photos or be licensed to use them, including to make AI-animated video from them. Many photographers license photos for the listing only, so check the licence covers video, or get written permission. You confirm this on each project. Never use photos scraped from Zillow, Realtor.com, realestate.com.au or Domain.
Getting help
In the app, the help panel answers from these docs and can start a free re-run for you. For anything else, use the contact form or email hello@realfly.ai. A person replies within 1 business day.
